History

Demodex or Demodectic Mange

It is caused by Demodex Canis, a type of mite that normally resides in the skin. It is transmitted from mothers to pups during suckling. Genetics and immunologic response play a significant role in the development of this disease. It is treatable in most instances and not considered a contagious illness.

Entropian

It is inward curling of the ectropion or lower eyelid or rolling out of the eyelids. It is a pretty common condition in this type of dog. The condition needs to be corrected through surgery to prevent the eye’s cornea damage.
